He looked at me, but he wasn't really looking at me. He was looking through me. He wasn't really seeing me, or anything else, for that matter. He was too far gone. That was the moment that I completely gave up on the life that I had allowed myself to suffer for so long. I would never come back to this life, or anything similar. I decided right then and there, as I watched the one I thought I loved fade to the drugs, that I was leaving for good.
