She was a girl that harbored seventeen years of age and she lived as normal a life as a seventeen year old girl could. Her name? Mayu. Surname? That's a mystery to Mayu herself. Many memories of her parents dying in some horrible accident occurred in the girl's mind yet no matter how much she thought about it, nothing seemed to quite fit right with her. So, never truly knowing her parents fate or current whereabouts, the young woman lived alone in her apartment complex just next door from her best friend Mahiru Shiroto. However, one day Mahiru takes in a small, homeless, black cat and names it Kuro. Mayu begins to take quite a liking to Kuro and, though she felt deeply bad about it, takes Kuro into her own possession as a cute and cuddly roommate of sorts.
