Ivana Meredith Cox, a lively girl and an extremely talented barista who runs a small, beautiful cafe in Phoenix, trying to move on from her father's death. All she wants is to lay low, go to college and lead a quiet, peaceful life without people bringing up her painful past. The last thing she wants in her life is more trouble but that's exactly what she gets. Trouble that is, Ace Newman, a mysterious, platinum-haired boy who's always surrounded with rumours and seems to be troubled by a haunting past. He's been termed as the infamous delinquent of the city, his reputation tainted regardless of where he goes. There's little that people know about him and so much more that they don't. Ivana knows that Ace isn't half as bad as people make him out to be. What she doesn't know, though, is that he wants his true past to be revealed just as much as she doesn't want hers to be. Perhaps, an unreasonable addiction to caffeine mixed with an unexpected dose of adventure and sarcasm is exactly what the two need for the sparks to fly. ~EXCERPT~ "Your money." He spoke. "And stop staring. It's creepy as fvck." Scowling, I took the money and gave him the receipt. "No swearing in here, please." "Your words always present an irony to your expressions." He mused. "I like that." "Look uh...Mister, no need to act all friendly. I've got better stuff to do than to waste my time interacting with you." "The name's Ace." He drawled and I scowled yet again. "What makes you think I'd be interested?" "They always are." He smirked, shrugging and grabbing his coffee turned to leave. ~~~ Author's note: This is not your cliche bad boy good girl story and I highly suggest you give the book a chance :D Highest Rank: #42 in delinquent

"I wouldn't mind watching you. Maybe we could tan together this summer." He suggested. "Without having tan lines." I could feel the smirk playing on his lips. I lightly slapped his chest. "Don't ruin my mood with your cockiness." "I think I made it a lot better." "Well, keep going and you'll have to deal with your boner yourself." I teased. "Why does it always come back to my boner?" He asked with a smile playing on his lips. "Because it's just so huge." I said absentmindedly. "Is it now?" He raised a brow at me. I stripped myself away from him and pouted as I folded my arms across my chest. "That's not what I was supposed to say." "Hmm," He nodded. "What were you supposed to say then?" "That it's just as annoying as you." I laughed. SUMMARY: After the death of her father, Blake moves in with her estranged mother and twin sister. Coping with her father's death was one thing and being involved in dirty work is another. Add a bad boy to fall for on her plate and things can't be more messed up. She tries to start a new life but ghosts from her past just aren't ready to leave her. Question is, can she make it through and have a happy ending or not? Give it a few chapters, nobody gets the hang of writing their first book immediately. It gets better story wise and writing wise, I promise. HIGHEST RANKING #1
