In the midst of war, Angelina, most notorious assassin in the region, tries to live her life lurking in the shadows, away from the clashing of swords, silently and swiftly taking lives. But her plan to keep out of the drama between empires crumbles when the king takes her hostage and when she tries to evade, she finds herself being sent to the gallows.
The prince, on the other hand, provide the king reigning in Aeonian with a divergent option, one that didn't involve murder. If Angelina were to join the empire, the army, she could live. But she had to drop her ways of annihilating random opponents she found herself on the streets. Now, she had to kill the enemies. And only the enemies.
What happens, though, when she finds herself falling for a mere peasant of the royalty, and the stick-up-his-ass prince falling for her? And when the opposing king, Axel, has his eyes on her as well, and will do anything to break her, practically forcing her to join his malevolent empire?
