Set in the 1800's, colonial America, this is the story of Mercy Peters, an African American slave woman who gets sold throughout the south and ends up meeting a white man---that ends up changing her life.

This story will be more raw than my other stories because I feel so strongly about slavery , and the life of a woman during that time. Enjoy. Might me inappropriate for younger viewers.

Guys, I hope the way the story is written does not offend anybody. I only based the way she speaks on excerpts I read in my AP U.S history class. It gets better later on in the story. Again, I have no rude intentions in this story. I am a black person myself and although I am not African-American, I can relate.

An old fashioned Story... A White Girl named Winnie and her Family move out to a small nearby rural countryside town called Sunny Ville. Winnie came from an all girls boarding school, and her parents do not except Black people into they're family or around they're community, only (what they class as) they're own kind of people. They don't approve of her dating anyone other than who they approve of, and they definitely can't be black. Michael is a young man who works at the Local Organic Fruit & Veg stop in the Town Centre of Sunny Ville in Mr Sail's Shop, they sell everything from Organic Juices, Fruit & Veg, Nuts and Seeds, even Homemade Bread. Winnie's Mother always goes down to the Local Shop for her produce with Winnie by her side. She won't let her tread into the town alone, as she wants to protect Winnie and keep her safe, making sure she behaves and doesn't step out of line. Winnie hates feeling trapped and having to go everywhere with her Mother, or take a private horse and cart to school, that takes her straight there and back everyday. She feels like a prisoner. Michael want's to break her out of her shell, and show her the World she is missing out on. During this time, it was unacceptable for Black and White to mix and if you were ever seen with each other, trouble would be brewing in the Town, and everyone would stare and despise on you. Mr Sail is a White man too, who agrees that Black and White people are fine to mix amongst each other. But he just pretends to the Town that he doesn't approve, and keeps Michael as his lower assistant worker when actually they get on so well, just so the Town wouldn't ridicule Mr Sail. Winnie and Michael laid eyes on each other when Winnie's Mother first went into the Local shop for dinner. That's where it began...

The darkness in his eyes, the dangerous smell of alcohol in his breath, and his deathly grip keeping me bound to him made my heart pound in my chest and my body quiver beneath him. Shamefully, it wasn't anything that I wasn't used to, because...the things I let him do to me? When he was frustrated, annoyed, and angry at the world, I was here to be his pound of flesh. In return, he masked the void of my loneliness because for months, that was the transaction of our relationship. He'd pin me to the wall, bend me over the counter, pull my hair, slap me, choke me, and I enjoyed every second of it because in that moment, it finally felt good to be powerless. Irony is a funny thing. I enjoyed being in pain because it made me forget how much I was hurting. *** "I warned you, doll." His voice strikes a string of chills down the base of my spine, a reminder that all of the time in the world could pass, and he's still not letting go. This is where the good girl in me dies. "You're mine now," he whispers. *** My name is Mercy-Mercy Carter. I went to college. Got myself a useless Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree. His name is Marcel-Marcello Saldívar. However, at the time, I didn't know that he, the heir to the Saldívar Mafia empire, was the man that I had blindly offered myself to. As smart as I am, I was stupid all the times when it actually mattered. After all, he did warn me that he was dangerous. I just didn't think he could be much worse than my thug of a brother. I was vulnerable-naive. My name is Mercy, and I belong to him. My name is Mercy, and I am The Mafia's Mercy. ⚠️ Content Advisory: This is a DARK Romance novel, in every sense of the word. It DOES contains DARK themes that may be triggering. Reader discretion is STRONGLY advised.

Follow me for more information. Abigail Jenkins is a young African woman from Missouri in the early 1890's. She's caught wind of the Oklahoma Land Rush and now she's set her mind on getting a chunk of land for herself. She's tired of the high minded white people from her old town and she wants to take charge of her own life. She is well aware of all the risks she may face by going alone into unknown territory, but she's willing to take that chance to have a new start on life. Derek Greyson, on the other hand, is a man simply wanting a change in scenery. After his parents died, he'd been taking care of his little sister. But now that she's married, he's turned his attention away from his home in Texas, and to the Land Rush in Oklahoma. He finds himself in the dust ridden land with thousands of others, greedy for a piece of the land. What he didn't expect, however, was to meet a lively little African woman with a sharp tongue, deep chocolate eyes and a mountain load of prejudices against white men due to the murder of her little sister. What will he do when he finds himself falling for her, along with all of her emotional demons? And for Abigail, what will she do when the stranger with icy blue eyes and a charming smile decides to break all social norms just to be with her?

COMPLETED ✔ "Damn she's thick." We both hear. I move to step over towards him. Eureka holds my arm drawing my attention back on her. She gets on her tippy toes. I brace forwards to cut the gap between us. Eureka holds around my neck putting her face to my ear. That's when I hear her whisper. "There's no need for you to get upset. He can only look, and not touch because I'm yours." I stiffen in my jeans. Getting aroused from her boldness. But I take it one step further. Gripping her neck. Detka holds my arm tighter. Lighty moans where only I can hear. I stand up straighter holding her against me by her neck. Looking at the cashier who is still watching her. I cough getting his attention. "Uhmm. Thank you but our groceries won't ring up themselves." He looks at me now. I smirk at him, taking Eureka's hand. "Also it's not nice to stare at what isn't yours." Eureka squeezes my hand. "Behave." She mutters. I ignore her and finish unpacking what's left. What folks are commenting "I love the story it's different from other stories I read.
