Introduction.

As I look back upon the place I used to call home I wonder why me? Why wasn’t it the family next door that always fought so loud the whole neighborhood could hear them? Even if my parents were never at home, we would never fight like that; and now they’re gone. Gone like the Wind.

All I see is ashes, and hopelessness surrounds me. My parents, gone. All of my stuff, gone. All that remains now is three things: my dog, my journal, and most importantly hope. I can feel hope running through my veins as I long for my parents and the past. Then again I know that time is gone, I know that it is my time to grow up; to be my own man. I knew my parents secret; and I know it’s my turn to carry on the family secret.
