Lily Cortell, at the age of twelve, was taken in by her uncle after the incident between her parents, and had lived in Oxford with them since. The dramatic change from America to England was rough, but everything is changed when she is given a camera for her thirteenth birthday.
This is what she wants to do for the rest of her life.
As she pursues her young career as a photographer, her cousin, Ava, plans out her life to follow in her fathers footsteps to become a Production Manager, which means constant concerts, and traveling almost every single day nonstop.
When she turned 17, uncle Ralph snatches a promotion, and becomes a Manager for the tour of the world famous boy band, One Direction. For the past two years, he's been there for everything, whether if it was a concert or not, which left Lily and Ava alone most of the time, but as Ava soon takes off with her father, Lily becomes hesitant on her next move.
Ava discovers a job opening for an intern, and convinces Lily to take the job, introducing her to the world of Management.
It isn't long before she meets the boys she's practically working under, and things don't settle well. Sure, she likes their music, but she didn't particularly like them, particularly the one who purposely pushes her buttons.
As Harry tries to get Lily to notice him, she continues to push him away, keeping herself independent and solitary.
How far will the buttons be pushed until one of them finally realizes they should just give up? Will Lily keep pushing him away, or will she finally step outside her comfort zone?
