Steven Universe/Adventure Time crossover!
Lapis Lazuli is down on her luck and eventually starts playing music in the streets to make a bit of money until she can find a full time job. When she meets Marceline Abadeer, a fellow musician, and they make plans to meet up, neither knows it, but a whole new life is set into motion- and not just for them.
(I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with shipping and stuff, but I'll probably have endgame lapidot and bubbline, among some other stuff. Also, the title is from Brief Candles by The Zombies.)
(I just made this cover, and it's very temporary, I've got some actual concept art for a decent one.)

About Lapis Lazuli and Peridot and Jasper and... eh... what happened on that big hand-ship before the Crystal Gems crashed it. (This story ends near the end of the episode Jail Break) I'm keeping this child-friendly. None of what I consider cursing is in this book. And it's just friendship. And forgiveness. It might be a bit of a sad story, maybe... but anyway, it's not romantic love-stuff. And there might be a little violence because – y'know – Jasper's in the book. But not too bad. I try to keep the characters, well, in character, but I probably didn't succeed. Includes some of my own theories about Yellow Diamond and Homeworld; not everything in this story is canon.
