Alex and Evan are detectives. They are called when the body of a girl and boy were found. They are believed to be connected to an old case of Alex. Where to kids, Noah and Hailey were kidnapped. This is the only case she has never been able to solve, how could she solve it now. Back then she had her best friend and lover Gavin, now he's gone, so who does she have? Nobody has ever really liked her because she is seen as different. She has tried to be normal but it has never worked. The only person now who realizes she kind of human is Evan.
Evan use to be popular in school. People have always liked him, but he felt as he has been sheltered his whole life. So now he loves adventures. Or at least says he does. He has only felt like he is overly ordinary. Nothing super special about him.
