Naveah had always hated her life that she was living, werewolf or not. she was tired of feeling so weak and helpless. Bunch of guys picked on her because I was the smallest in the pack and their girlfriends didn't like her so they would torment her, abuse her, and sexual harrased her, pulling her hair, wolf whistling at her, and smacking her so hard on the ass in the hallways she would drop all her books.
The State Alpha of Oklahoma and his son (Ryder), who was to be the next State Alpha of her new pack (Texas), had come for a visit to celebrate the Blood Moon festival that happened every which humans called Halloween and found her... so very broken but she had held strong to wait for her mate, not to save her but show her love like no one else had.
