When 17-year old Jack Sampson comes across a skrell, a dangerous alien creature, it bonds with him, changing his life and everyone else life forever. After losing his mom and killing his dad he is forced to leave his old life behind. 


With his heritage and family history coming to light, as well as the Skrell Bonding with the skrell comes with many problems for Jack, trying to keep it hidden and new abilities dampened. But when the government begins to crack down on citizens, Jack finds he isn't the only one bonded to a skrell, and he'll need its help to survive
