Fanfic
Fanfiction about the SCP. The SCP is a darkly hilarious fictional organization available on this website: http://www.scp-wiki.net I wanted to know more about the characters and ideas so, unable to find any, have decided to begin writing my own. Specifically, I feel that the SCP is often interpreted as "the good guys". I'm going to tell you upfront that this is me working out my frustrations with that. The SCP is, in my opinion, evil. Yes, occasionally they aren't as evil as they ~could~ be, but this really doesn't excuse imprisoning innocents "FOR SCIENCE!!!1!" or any of the other awful stuff they do. I'm also going to tell you now, I don't know if this will discuss 231 at all, but if it does, know this. If the world has to end to avoid doing that to (what is hinted to be) a child, let it end. Them's the breaks. I don't think it's a necessary evil. It's just evil. The world can end. It isn't their responsibility to prevent it. It is their responsibility not to do that sort of thing to a (presumed) child. I'll also add that I find the original file for 231 to be extremely tasteless. If you're going out of your way to manufacture a situation that justifies that kind of thing even as a "thought experiment" something is seriously wrong with you. That won't prevent the end of the world. That situation is never going to happen and setting it up seems a thinly veiled way to try to lessen the seriousness of the issue that you are so blandly describing as a "procedure." That said, as a whole, I really enjoy reading the works of the SCP (obviously) and find the stories and ideas fascinating in a way that borders on obsession. Sometimes I just click with a story, or set of stories and can just mull it over for hours and be entertained and can't stop thinking about it. The SCP is a deeply disturbing brand of work, but all the more genius for it. With the exception of a few pages, the SCP is an organization I greatly ENJOY being horrified by.

A strange-looking contraption is seen rapidly falling from the sky. Its descent was calculated and precise...until it wasn't. Halfway after entering the green and blue planet's atmosphere, it started burning up, rendering some of its parts unusable. Inside this burning contraption are a bunch of...kids. These kids numbered a hundred, have ages ranging from 12 to 17. And as for why they are all strapped inside this burning 90-year-old dropship heading to the ground...Well, it all started at the end. Ninety-seven years ago, a nuclear apocalypse struck the Earth, leaving the planet simmering in radiation. But of course, the human race was a stubborn one. At the time of the bombs, twelve nations had operational space stations that they used to house survivors. Later, these twelve stations banded up and merged, becoming the one we now know as The Ark. For many years now, The Ark has kept what's left of humanity alive. But about a year ago, an engineer discovered a huge problem in the Ark's system. The Ark's life support systems are failing, and it won't be long before they run out of air and die. Hence, the current situation. These kids are being sent on a desperate mission to see if the ground is survivable again. But why kids though? Won't it be better to have the more capable scientists or guards be the ones to take this risk? The council had a lot of reasons, but the main one being: these kids were expendable, after all, they are criminals. --- This is a The 100 Fanfiction. The MC is a reincarnator. Yeah, I know. It might as well be a self-insert fic at just how much I relate my MCs to myself. Anyway... This story has been picking up dust in the corner of my WIPs. It's time to let it see the light of day. It's been so long since I started this fic, hence I will have to revisit the deepest part of my head to remember how I wanted this story to go in the first place. Updates will be few and inconsistent. 43àd à5 6974 92ñ 48ßk.
