My name is Violet Mercer. When I was about 4, I watched my parents die. A few weeks later, I was branded and shipped off with a bunch of other kids to my new fate, to train and learn for 10 years until I was sold to someone else as a slave. Brutal beginning? Yeah. But it's the truth. See, here's the thing. A few years back--maybe a little under 50--we humans did something stupid. It was part of an experiment called G42 by some genetics company that was trying to speed up evolution. What did they do? Well, they altered specific genetic strands to see if they could create a sort of super-human. Their answer? Yes. But there was a flaw in their plan. These new 'evolved' humans, or 'evos', were everything they could have hoped for--strong, and fast, and smart. Practically immortal, too, so what was the problem? They were born without emotions. Maybe this doesn't sound too bad to you, but our emotions? They're what make us human. What happened next was kinda inevitable: the Evos took over. There are two strands of DNA--get one, and your set for life. Get the other, good luck living to see past your sweet sixteen. And if you are one of the crazy (or brave, depending on who you ask) people who dares to bring a child into this world, you could give them the best, longest life ever, or doom them to an early death after a suckish life. So, yeah. Our world is screwed up. And we can't go to G42 for a solution, because as soon as the Evos realized the possibilities, they slaughtered everyone who might know something and blew up the facility. Now, dear reader, are you beginning to understand the use of emotions? This is my story. I still don't know how it ends, whether it was all for better or worse. But you're here. So go ahead and read. I'm trying to keep my eyes open while hearing the noises of doctors and the beeps of machines. It's feeling like something is going away from me. I'm trying my best to keep my conscious. But second by second my strength is draining and pain is increasing into my head and whole body. But right now , I don't give damn to my own self. Anything could happen to me. I don't care. But nothing should happen to my child ... he should survive and live his life unlike his mother "who never got anything in her life. First I couldn't get the love from my parents "which i deserved.." then i got the husband "who don't give shit to my existence. My whole life went trying to get the piece of love "which I at least deserved once in my life . But no one dared to give to me and now god is snatching my last happiness as well. Which is my child. When I'd got to know about him. A ray of hope I'd felt in my life. I thought at least now I'll able to get someone whom I could call mine. But seems like god couldn't see me stay happy and now I'm laying on death bed holding my womb pleading to god that he should keep my baby safe. But I guess he can't see me happy and soon I heard doctor's faint voice " who announced baby is no more. We lost the baby. He whispered looking at other doctors being dejected. Tears made their ways from my twitching eyes..' and I felt like to scream and cry bitterly. This is my story where I care about my childhood, the beginning of my life, my childhood, all the way till where I am now. If you want to know more about me, this is a book to learn more about me right away because obviously the bio in my Wattpad or whatever social media I have certainly does not any justice to my personality or the development . Yes, starts off with me actually being a young child in warzone, then starting to love to read and blossom anyways even though I missed some of my milestones. This shows that you do not hit have to hit your milestones right away in order to be normal or what is normal anyway, actually. From everything from my first Halloween to my first horror novel, which was the Stephen King, stand my love reading and writing and also my love of creativity has helped me home and laid into the person I am today.
