A retelling of Rapunzel- set in a historical setting, young Cherie grows up as a servant, forbidden to utter a sound except to the King. Her life filled with many parameters that keep her constantly busy. Growing up different is hard, especially if you can't talk to defend yourself from the spiteful comments of others. The back story of her origins are unclear to her, yet the King seems to know everything. Secrets from the past slowly come together, revealing the truth about who she really is.
With trouble brewing in a neighboring kingdom, a marriage is arranged in order to restore peace. The man she once trusted, the King, uses her as a pawn to get revenge on a Lord.
Broken hearted, Cherie complies with her duty and does everything she can to make her situation better. Can she bring the two kingdoms to a better standing? And fixed the wrong doing of others?
