Love Between the Bars (ON HIATUS)

"You don't belong in here do you?"

He only stared at her with the blank frozen stare he always has on his face.

She tried again. "Blake Reynolds should be serving time. You shouldn't be here should you?"

For the first time she watched as his expression changed from the blank stare to a defeating look. For the first time she heard the 'mute' who everyone claimed he was at the juvenile center speak.

"What do you want from me?"

Riley was perplexed by his question.

"What do you mean?"

He only rolled his eyes. "Don't play dumb. You know my secret. You seem like a smart girl, so obviously you know I can get in trouble for this. So, what do you want?"

He sighed. "So, what do you want? I don't have any money obviously. So is it...sex? A make-out session? Wait no don't tell me--- Ah, your one of my brothers exes here to get back at him aren't y---"

She cut him off mid rant. "I want to help you, get out of here."

"Why?" He questioned.

"When I figure that out, I'll make sure you're the first one to know."

Riley Harper a good -girl and average high school student of Lawona Heights is summoned to the Guidance Counselor's Office. She finds out that if she doesn't complete her 250 hours of community service by the last day of school she will not graduate. She makes a deal with her counselor to volunteer at Lawona's Juvenile Center until she graduates. Though when she finds, Jay Reynolds the fraternal twin to Blake Reynolds the towns bad boy rotting in the center, she suddenly becomes intrigued. When Riley easily figures out the secret he's been hiding, she jumps in determined to help him. Though with his brother's sudden interest in her it becomes more complicated.

Through long evenings at the center, revealing secrets, fighting, and multiple lip-locks. Will Jay finally be found innocent? Will Riley be able to bring the brothers back together? Will she find love? Or will she end up making a mess and tearing the brothers even further apart?
