This is a story about a orphaned child named Lauret in the wonderful world of Grasia. Did I say wonderful? I meant murderous, cold-blooded, monster-infested world. Parol, the queen of Grasia has worked her hardest to establish safe spots in Grasia. She successfully made her home-city of Rahador safe. Rahador is the only city that is safe. Lauret lives in the outskirts of Rahador and fights monsters daily. Her mother and father were kidnapped by bandits long ago and haven't been seen since. Caring for her little brother in this cold world isn't easy. How long can she survive in this world?
