THE GODDESS CANDIDATE is a YA LGBTQ contemporary fantasy complete at 82,000 words.

The day eleven Signposts fell out of the sky, Devon Lamont's main concern was hiding makeup from her fundamentalist father. But when one of these fiery Signs lands outside her high school, Devon becomes one of the first people to read the strange words burned into the ground all around it: Walk through fire... and become God.

A day later, a Portuguese bartender films himself touching the Sign, crossing dimensions, and meeting "angels," and the world learns that the Signs are no hoax. God is dead, and His post is up for grabs... or the Devil has a trick up his sleeve.

But none of this matters to Devon. Touching the Sign would mean an end to her carefully cultivated triple life as a popular girl, pious child, and something worse... something a small town with thirteen churches would never be able to accept. Besides, she'd rather be kissing Corey, the semi-mysterious, nerdy guitarist who led her to the Sign in the first place. But Corey's good instincts come from dark places, and he-as well as half the modern world-thinks it's worth severe burns to turn into a deity. Devon's father even sees the Sign as an opportunity to prove his family's faith... and when he attempts to martyr himself in its fire, the only way Devon can save him is by taking his place in the flames.

Recently freed members of a cult search for their missing members. Everything is not as it seems in Winfell, where six children disappeared under mysterious circumstances, only for four them to be found ten years later telling strange stories of monsters and the Underworld, with no explanation for where they've been. Or what happened to two of them. Suffice to say nothing is fine. *** Reasons to read the Olympus Drive Series 1. LGBTQ rep throughout 2. Happy endgame gays/lesbians and polyamory as well asexuality and grey aces 3. Lots of references to Greek/Roman Mythology 4. Trans, genderfluid, and non-binary characters with arcs that don't revolve around their sexuality 5. Plenty of happy/positive relationships 6. But your favorite ship WILL be a 10,000 year old space alien and an undead detective 7. All dark/heavy topics are addressed or resolved in a positive manner 8. Postive female friendships and romantic relationships, without cheating 9. Essentially any relationship structure or sexuality you can think of comes up at one point or another 10. The queen of the dead gets a sword forged from blood Trigger Warning: Some violence and creature violence. Mild peril. Fantasy violence throughout. Extensive injuries shown. Brief fantasy violence (a character is shot point blank but we know the character cannot be injured, that type of thing). Peril to child characters throughout, though it is fantasy peril. Content Warning: Profanity throughout. Sex/sexuality discussed at length, at an R rated level though little is shown. Oh and...in case the tags didn't give it away there's heavy references to Greek mythology, therefore only like one character is actually straight.

Can't Let Go

13 parts Complete Mature

Alex thought he had it all then he got a shot of cold water. Years later he is finally getting his life to where he wants it to be. All except one little complication. So what does he do when he starts to really care for that complication. Letting go might mean someone might die. But it wasn't his fight. No matter the trouble he just can't let go. ====== Excerpt Alex heard a thump then a whimper. He scanned the area around him and then looked down the alley that was close by. He searched the darkness and saw leaning against the brick wall a slumped over figure. he debated then started to walk on not sure it was worth the risk, but the figure stopped groaned and fell. Alex sighed. There was no way he'd be able to walk away now. He went over and carefully rolled the figure over and was surprised to see it was a very young man. Alex couldn't see any wounds but when he searched, he found a large bruise on his side that had broken open and gotten infected. "Looks like you got the raw end of a beating. Better get you to a hospital." a hand shot out and grabbed his wrist. "NO! no hospital. just leave me alone." "No hospital huh? your wound is infected. if you leave it, it could kill you." "I'll be fine." he said then promptly passed out. Alex snorted and gathered the boy up and stood.
