Alignment (Name is a Work in Progress)

In the realm of the Fae, there are two factions: the light and the dark. The realm of the light Fae is known as Brynhild, and has been ruled by the Sambridge Lineage for countless generations. Freydis is the dark Fae realm ruled by the Archer lineage, and they have only ruled for three generations. All Fae subjects must choose a side known as the alignment and should they choose not of light or dark and to live with the humans, they cast off all their titles and lands. In addition all children born of them are illegitimate and cannot venture to the Fae world. However in recent years, the two households has tried to create a more solid peace after the death of Tristain Archer (the second born Royal Archer, and the first son). They did this by married their two live children off to each other. Two years ago Elenora Sambridge was wed to Prince Sebastian Archer, and a few months ago Princess Ingrid Archer was wed to Prince Nicholas Sambridge. Because children develop their mother's abilities it is the women who rule countries and hold prominent roles in society, and it is the men who change their last names. This is not a tale for the light of heart. Backstabbing, betrayal, court politics, war, the cost of war, and lies.
