A Touch Of Fear

Everyone has always lived in fear by the Vampires who roam the streets. They are afraid to go outside at night, nobody wants to get bitten by the foul creatures of the night. There's a strict rule in all the towns that everyone has to stay in their homes when it goes dark and not to come out until the sun comes up. Many people have ignored that rule and gotten bit by a Vampire, some have actually gone out in the dark to kill the Vampires. But they have never succeeded.

One day, a fourteen year old boy went outside in the dark to save his mother. He knew the risks of going out but he still went. To the people of the town peeking through the windows of their homes, the boy did not seem afraid or scared. He walked straight to his mother but they were attacked. She sadly died and he survived. A miracle happened, the Vampires seemed afraid of the boy, not the other way around.

He is Sam Harwood and he is known as the Day Walker, because he has a secret. Sam is a Vampire, but he can walk in the sunlight, he is not only just a Vampire though. He feeds on the blood of Vampires and he doesn't harm any humans. Sam is feared by the people in his town and he's alone. With no friend in the world, however he doesn't seem to mind the loneliness. Or so he thought.
