Screams of sorrow filled the air, bodies dropping left and right. Large brown eyes looked around for a familiar face, tears streaking already dirtied skin. Terror coursing through her as she looked at towards her left. There. There they were.

"Sirius! Sirius!"

She couldn't tell whether or not her screams were loud enough, the ringing in her ears already loud enough. Vision a little foggy from what seemed like an explosion. Stumbling towards those figures she yelled out once more. Did he turn to look at her? Was it someone else? She couldn't tell. Almost there, anyways. Just a few more steps would get her vision clear.

The sudden embrace of arms wrapping around her frightened her.

"Lay down your wand! By the decree of the Ministry of Magic, you, Sirius Black, are under arrest for the murder of twelve muggles and one wizard! As well as the association to he who shall not be named!"

She turned her head, struggling against the arms of the male holding her back.

"Ma'am! You cannot go over there! He is a fugitive!"

"I don't understand? What's going on? Sirius!"

Her screams fell on deaf ears. Her body shaking from all the emotions finally being let out. Tears flooding down her face as Sirius was chained. She screamed and clawed her way out of the grasp of her captor, sprinting towards him. Her body falling towards the ground as intense pain coursed through her. It was Sirius's turn to scream out.

"Get her away! There must be a charm on her!"

"It's alright love! Don't worry about me! Bloody hell somebody help her, she's in pain!"

That was the last time she saw him. Maybe they were right and he needed to be wh

There was a time when we were inseparable--the so-called Marauders and me. I mean, I guess we kind of still are. It's just that they're not all around anymore. Peter is dead, James is dead, Sirius is in prison. So that leaves Remus. And we're still close. We have to be, don't we? It would be ironic if we weren't. But it's still so strange even though it's been this way for... what, over a decade now? We used to be a werewolf, a stag, a dog, a rat, and a cat. But it's down to just a werewolf and a cat now. Not that Remus lets me help with his transformation anymore. No, he says it's too dangerous. I used to fight it but I don't anymore. Somehow, my cat form never got used to the loss of Peter, James, and Sirius. She still tries to catch their scents in the breeze. When I transform back into me, the loss feels even greater than it was before. Everything fell apart that Halloween night. Sometimes I wonder how only Remus and I survived it. I guess I should be grateful, though. He was the one who held me together. Without him... There are rumors, though. Some people have been saying that Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban. I've been trying not to think about it. Because Remus said I shouldn't. He thinks it might not be true still. I'm not so sure. I've never really been sure about Sirius. It's like... I know he went to prison for what he did to James and Lily and Peter, but... Sometimes I don't believe he did it. Remus said that he did. That he was seen killing Peter. So he must have been the one to betray all of us. But I know something that no one else does. Sirius and I were together that night when James and Lily died.

"Raven, listen! Listen to me! We can still fix this, just... don't go yet, okay? Let me help you, love. Please, Raven! I love you!" Raven did not turn around to face Hermione. Instead, she looked straight ahead, her hand that was gripping her wand burned from her nails clawing into her palm. She couldn't dare turn her back to look at Hermione, knowing that once those tearful eyes locked with her own... She'd return into her loving embrace without a second thought and everything she had done up until this point would have been for nothing. And despite how much she never wanted it to come to this, despite how her own heart beats for Hermione Granger and her alone, she knew what she had to do. "Then, you're even more pathetic than I thought." Raven forced her voice to remain steady. Emotionless, as she broke two hearts in that moment. "How could you ever believe that I would love a filthy Mudblood like you?" And with that, Raven walked out of the empty classroom, shutting the door behind her. She stayed frozen there for a moment, listening to the gasping sobs that escaped Hermione's lips from behind the door. The lip that she had been biting had long since drew blood trying to contain her own burning lump in her throat. "I'm sorry, Darling." Raven whispered under her own breath. "Forgive me." And as soon as the first tear fell from her own eyes, she walked away from the door, so Hermione wouldn't hear her own sobs escaping her as she walked towards the uncertain future, longing for Hermione's sweet embrace with every step she took.

Sarah Copper made Fred Weasley's pulse race. There was something about the confidence that did it for him. * * * "So, Sarah - " George began. "We were hoping we could have your help?" Fred continued, draping an arm on the back of the sofa. "Sure! What do you guys need?" Sarah asked, pushing her dark hair out of her eyes. George glanced at Fred, waiting for him to explain. "We need a sleeping draught potion," said Fred. He could see the clocks working in Sarah's mind, weighing out possibilities. Finally, Sarah spoke, "Alright, but I think we already have a problem." Sarah reached into her bag, pulling out 'Advanced Potion making 6'. She opened it to the contents, using her finger to single out the sleeping draught. She turned to the page, her eyes glued to the ingredients. "Ok, I'm going to need an apple, which is the easy bit to get," Sarah began, whilst Fred and George leaned over each shoulder to see the problem. They didn't see anything out of the ordinary. "What's the problem, then?" George and Fred chimed. Sarah smiled slightly, and for a moment, the twins thought they'd convinced her. "We need one Newt's spleen, which I ran out of," Sarah replied, her smile gone. It was replaced by a look of determination, mixed with a hint of excitement. "But, I know where we can find one," Sarah added, her voice as low as a whisper. Fred and George glanced at each other in curiosity, hoping Sarah would go on. "What are you saying?" Fred asked when Sarah didn't say anything. She did snap the book shut in excitement, standing up and stuffing it in her bag. Sarah turned back to the twins, who were also standing. "We're going to steal the spleen from Snape - " Sarah began, but Fred and George already knew how this was going to go. "- We're in!" They exclaimed in unison, causing Sarah to laugh.
