Niall and Sarah have been best friends since they were both five years old. They were inseparable, and still are.They know everything about each other, especially each other's passion for music.
At the age of sixteen, Sarah had to move away to Chicago for her dad's job. Acting totally and completely like lovesick teenagers, even though that was NOT the case, they both promised to meet up again.
They kept in touch for two years, counting down the days until Niall would move to America to go to college with Sarah at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
After the two agonizing years apart, they both reunite in Wisconsin for college, both having a dorm on the same floor, a miracle.
After another two years, both young adults and great students hear about the hardest singing competition in America, from their friend. Deciding to enter, they both enter into something more than a competition.They enter themselves into the spotlight, into something completely foreign to them.
The life in the spotlight makes the two grow even closer together. Feelings blossom into something never imagined, fame rises them straight into the spotlight.
But, is Sarah prepared for this? She knows she has Niall on her side. There to help her, support her, and comfort her. But, will he be there to love her like she wants him to?
This life they have walked into is a huge step. It is something they never imagine. It is something unimaginable. Something great.

I am rating this story PG13 due to language and just a little bit of sexual activity (kissing/making out). Tara James is a regular 19 year old girl. She's living the normal college life at Uni. Tara comes from a great family who has enough money to live comfortably. She has everything she wants or needs; everything but confidence. Josie Hughes is Tara's best friend and roommate. She is also a diehard Directioner. Josie secretly really wants to take Tara to a One Direction concert. But Tara hardly knows the boys' names! When Tara buys Josie two tickets to see One Direction in concert, Josie drags Tara along. In the hallway of the building, Tara gets pushed over and meets the famous Niall Horan. NIALL: What in the world just happened? I choked at seeing this girl? And did a spit take when I actually got a good look at her? What the hell is wrong with me?
