She worried her lip between her teeth, then murmured, "I'd really like for you to stay in my life." In the darkness of the room and the close proximity they shared, she felt him move before she saw him. Hope felt his breath touch her cheek, light as a feather, and then Arthur was framing her face with his hands and pressed his mouth to her own, hard. When he pulled away a few moments later, she chased the warmth he provided. He let out a soft laugh, nuzzling his nose against her jaw.   
"I don't think I could go- even if I wanted to."
