Destruction. Chaos. War. All that was left after the world leaders started something that they couldn't handle. The United States of America had been destroyed along with some European countries, China and some parts of Russia. Millions of people were killed and even more died after due to the effects of the war. America was the most affected and almost half the population was left after the country had been stabilized due to the work of Johnathon Graves and his team.
Johnathon Graves became the first president of the newly founded United Districts a few years later. After the rehabilitation of a small section of central North America, Graves declared this the Capitol, the capital of the United Districts.
Alexandra Dobrev lived in the Capitol 52 years after its founding. With her father on the United District Council she lived a luxurious life. One that she loved, she had bother her parents and amazing friends and she was the top of her class not only in academics but with combat as well, something no one would ever guess. When Alex meets a stranger in the woods and develop a relationship with him and learns truths not only about the nation but her own life as well she feels she can't trust anyone, and believes that her whole entire life was a life.
