You're a demigod, a daughter of Thor. Being a demigod makes you pretty much immortal. Klaus sets out to use you to take back the city from Marcel when his family and the supernatural factions find out who you are when you are caught in the cross fire of a fight between the Marcel's vampires and Elijah Mikaelson, which causes you to be injured to the point of death, you are healed and brought back to life by your father and acquiring Mjiolnir in the process, which seemed to find you in that moment.
