After Annabeth found Luke wth another girl, her heart shattered. She cut all ties to her past life and ran away to New York City, where she enrolled into Goode High School. She's not the most popular, but slowly, one by one, she starts to make new friends and have a fresh start.
Cue Percy Jackson.
Percy knew Annabeth, back in California. His step-father got relocated to the one and only, Goode High School. After seeing Annabeth's smiling face in the hallway after he moves, he pulls her aside. Asks-no demands,- what happened. But Annabeth is stubborn. Refuses to talk to Percy or to even whisper a single word about California, or the events that took place there. Will she ever be able to live with her past to have a brighter future? Can she ever learn to love again?
