Daisy and Holden create a fairy tale life together. They're young, in love, and helping each other achieve whatever wildest dreams they have. When their dreams turn in to reality, and Holden becomes the youngest in his families to run for mayor of his hometown South Haven, Daisy begins to lose that princess-y feeling her love had given her. Instead, she feels like the servant to acting proper and looking as beautiful of the southern belle family she is now a part of. Holden's campaign adviser, Michelle Dempsey, isn't making it easy, either. She and the political dynasty of Abernathy's will twist every special moment Holden and Daisy have into a publicity scheme, with scandals, lies, and their own hidden agendas.
