Strange Harbours, Stranger Horizons

My entry for the #EverythingEverything Contest.
I am well aware that any story one writes about oneself is supposed to be peppered with numerous phrases and twists that attempt to give the reader a perfectly intact image of what your personality is, what your feelings are, and what you plan to be, and how all of these translate to a message stating how special you are must be based on how you have felt at different points of your life, and how you wish to feel. I too attempt to write my own story in such a manner though my life is not befitting for such eloquence. Therefore, I must warn you, dear reader, that what you are about to read is the history of a fairly ordinary person, living in fairly extraordinary circumstances.
