Young Edd Gould and his best friend Matt are special. They're hybrids, a type of human with animal limbs. Hybrids, unfortunately, are seen as freaks of nature. Edd has never understood why, in his entire young life. When Edd and Matt start 7th grade, however, they meet two new boys with some interesting qualities. The four soon become friends. But one day, Matt makes a mistake that starts an entire misadventure that could end their young lives.

Can the group of friends escape their captor or will they end up being the next trophies in his collection?
