(Before reading, notice that this is a script for a musical I am writing!! It is not meant to follow the same guidelines as a run-of-the-mill novel, and in fact does not include every aspect of a book within it!! I hope you enjoy! I might later include the lyrics for all the actual songs, so stay "tuned"! [pun intended])
Tony is, for lack of a better word, the heir to the Esposito family business: his great-grandfather's pride and joy, Tony's Pizzeria. While it is an honor to be named after his lovable grandfather, Tony quickly realizes that running a pizzeria is not his cup of tea; he's bad at every aspect. He breaks every glass he touches, inadvertently insults the customers, and burns everything but boiling water. Every morning he faces the rude laughter of his peers and acquaintances, all of whom have been his customers or coworkers at one time or another. Needless to say, Tony wants out of his obligations - and he finds solace in the delicate writing of the jaded local author Giulia Romano's sci-fi novels and the peaceful reassurances of his best friend Miles. Together, the three of them can surely find what it truly means to be Tony Esposito.
