"What are you guys, some sort of alien hunters?" Coulson supposed that a real gun wouldn't work on...whatever these things were, but...
"Alien hunters?" grunted the blonde, ducking a swipe from her attacker. She whipped around and smashed the snake-woman in the nose with the hilt of her sword, sending her sprawling. "Where did you get that crazy idea?"
Percy and Annabeth were just having a normal date. Between fighting monsters, training, and taking classes at New Rome, things could get a little crazy, and they needed a break every once in a while.
But have the gods ever heard of a break? No. Has the oracle? Also no. Has SHIELD? Not once. Being a rather suspicious pair, Percy and Annabeth are taken into SHIELD custody against their will. Unbeknownst to the agents, they're a magnet for chaos. And a new threat is emerging.

The only one who ever called was Jason. He had broken innocent Hazel's heart. Frank was disgusted by him. Nico hated him...but he always new that. Piper had better things to worry about. No one knew what had happened to Leo. And Annabeth...she didn't know. She could never know. He had made sure of that. Percy Jackson is in trouble; he did a good thing, or at least, so he thought at the time. And if he had the chance to go back, he would do it again. But maybe differently next time. He would find a way. So that no one had to get hurt...no one had to die. A/N: I know I said this is a crossover, and it is, however the main part of the story revolves around Percy, because...well, just because. But mostly because Percy is Percy. I wanted to write an interesting PJO x Avengers fanfic with angst and drama and adventure, but without all the "everyone is dead and Tony is Percy's uncle" plot. Winter Solider / The Avengers and Percy Jackson Crossover. Timeline: The Winter Solider and after Heroes of Olympus. Hydra had offered to bring her back safely as long as he agreed to the research for a year's time. He had dug further before accepting and saw the beginnings of discovering the nature of inhumans. In one perspective, if he volunteered himself, no one else had to get hurt and she would be home safe and sound. But, as the fates would have it, he volunteered for more than he signed up for and by the end or beginning of the end of it all, he had forgotten the purpose of it all. The pains of his past slowly melted into unconscious dreams of bliss as the present months caught up with him. Everyday it was dark, bleary, and routine. But, he had the gut feeling that he possessed something that could throw the world upside down.
