Mae Baker, a sixteen year old girl in New York City, seems to have her future set. Her parents, world-renowned doctors, plucked their comfy, New York City lifestyle and set her in the middle of the wealthiest town in Tennessee, starting a brand new life in hopes of becoming a medical prodigy 'just like them.' Mae doesn't seem interested in living her life for her parents, just longs to go back to New York and make it as a novelist.
Jensen Cove, a seventeen year old boy in Los Angeles, has everything he could have hoped for: star of the football team, a hot girlfriend, dozens of friends, a full ride to any college of his choice. His parents, his dad specifically, has his dreams set on making his son an NFL superstar, while Jensen has his own plans in mind: becoming a writer.
The two teens may seem hundreds of miles away, but their lives couldn't be more similar. When the two meet in a youth writers' group online, they not only find each other, but find themselves.
