Dean Winchester is a part time mechanic and works nightshifts at the run down zoo. Life for him is exhausting sometimes, considering he doesn't take kindly to being stared down by bears and tigers. But he gets a discount for his little brother whenever he comes into town, so it's worth it. This is pretty much all Dean has going on in his life, that and the banging any pretty little thing he sees every other night. 
When Castiel Novak moves into town and takes up a job at the vet, everything is still pretty normal for as far as normal can go for a town like this. But when Adam, the youngest Winchester brother, wants a cat, Dean meets this gorgeous man with the messy black hair who calls himself Jim. Jim is strange, but the more Dean talks to him, the better the friendship grows. 
When things get a little closer, "Jim" finds himself in a bad spot. He's hiding from his family, and hiding his family from the rest of his life. When Dean finds out who "Jim" really is, will Castiel lose the one person he's ever trusted?
