Her name is Gwendolyn Matilda Peregrine, which means "brave wanderer or traveler". 

At the age of 20, she wants to discover the world, she got everything, wealth, beauty and education but, she has no friends, after her father died, she can't stand on her own feet.

She wants to be free in the hands of her past but how?

She wants to escape, to travel and to forget...

Until one day, she can't continue her journey to travel the world without a companion. 

She doesn't know any persons except for her relatives so how can she be able to interact with other people?

Her mother must be an antagonist of her own daughter's life, but she can't do anything but to follow her mom.

She doesn't know that her mom just want the best for her.

Her mind is closed. She doesn't want to listen. 

But, she has no choice.
She needs to have her own travel companion.
