It is the job of Grim Reapers to collect the Souls of those who are about to die, the process of which draws out their life force.

Grim Reapers are neutral - they must have no mercy, and show no sympathy. Timing is crucial. Don't think twice.

But there is this fresh-faced Grim Reaper who hesitates at the last second while hovering over the body of a young girl. This girl, who has been on the verge of death, is spared due to that hesitation, and she pulls through.

The Grim Reaper is bemused by his own reactions, yet something tugs at him, yearning for him to remember.All Rights Reserved

While she's trailing behind this eccentric girl who claims to own her soul, she meets the very vampire that killed her- and he's not the only one who's taken an interest in her. The supernatural world is gearing up for war, and Cammie is one of the only ones with the chance to choose what side she wants to be on. Or, so she thinks.
