This book is about Alice's life, it is definitely not a tale of Alice in Wonderland. This book is based off of real events portraying the harshness of life, so if you think this book will be all sunshine and daisies then you thought wrong because just like real life this book hits you below the belt when you least expect it.

Allison Alexis Maxwell is a normal teenager going through high school.
The nicest person around the school, Allison is constantly taken advantage of due to her gracious ways. Many may see her smile and say this child is walking on sunshine, but as of late she cannot continue to keep up the façade any longer.

With the strong feelings she has for a forbidden person in her class, Allison is being weighed down with conflicting emotions. Not only so, but putting up with bullies who start to take things a bit too far is causing her so much pain that she begins to feel as though she isn't worth it anymore and the only thing keeping her going is the promise of her forbidden love becoming the right one.

Will she give in to her urge to harm herself? Will she give up the one thing keeping her from going under? Will she get out of the circle of self pity or will she fall deeper into the abyss?
