By the time I reached the train station, she was gone. I pushed through the crowd, forcing my way past all the people in business suits. I made my way to the train's platform. I caught a glimpse of her face out one of the train's compartment windows as the train started to pick up speed. Our eyes met and her lips formed the words, "Daddy." Then a pair of hands snatched her back. I ran beside the train, trying to keep up. My blood was pounding in my veins. My heart was beating against my chest. The train was almost out of the station. My leg muscles screamed in agony, yet I urged them to go faster. Tears clouded my vision, but I could see the train round the corner and disappear from my view. I tried to keep running, my body aching. I reached the end of the platform and my legs gave out. I threw out my hands to brace myself for the fall, but that did no good. My body collided with the concrete of the platform. I screamed out in anguish, "Maggie!"
He never gave up trying to find her, this is his story.
