A Court Of Thorns And Roses
"A dark blue sky. It slowly filled my vision with no stars in sight." SARAH J. MAAS * A young and terrified girl locks herself away from interaction and from others after finding out about the magic that has apparently always been apart of her this whole time, but the worst part is that she finds out in a sickening way. Left alone to nothing but her books, she re-reads a certain author's series who describes characters with the same pointed ears and powers like hers. She remembers fantasizing about these amazing creatures called the Fae and always wishing to be like them, the thought triggering a sickening realization in her. She IS High Fae. A High Fae rookie no less. Auburn is this rookie's name and she is struggling to find out more about her from the limited amount of words in the books of Sarah J. Maas. She begs the gods to grant her more knowledge about herself, and even begs the books itself to help her. Finally, after so long, her pleas are heard by the book; but the books will not be teaching her about the Fae way, not by a long shot. Instead, the books send her spiraling into the world of Prythian without her even realizing it to learn from the real pros. And no, I'm not just talking about normal Fae; we're talking about the High Lords. Auburn, being sent into Prythian, is suddenly turned into a human by the books while still being able to use her magic, at least inside her mind of course. Confused as to why the books would do this when the whole purpose of coming here was to be taught how to be a Fae, she finally realizes the books antics. It wants to be rewritten. The books threw her into the storyline to hopefully stop things before they happen and let her benefit in the process as well. Now, the real question is: will Auburn be able to stop the words from being written as they should be? Will she be able to stop the pages from being turned? Will she be able to re-write the whole series? Will she, Auburn, be able to answer the book's beckoning?

When Sierra is brought under the mountain by the Attors after being the sole survivor of her village, she believes it to be pure bad karma. Survival is nearly impossible when you're the only mortal among creatures that despise your kind and see you as nothing more than entertainment. Her chances of escaping Amarantha's mountain seem nonexistent. But when you've lost everything that once mattered, you have a choice: let it destroy you, or turn it into something greater. Sierra seizes her chance to escape-even if it means risking her own life-refusing to be anyone's plaything, least of all a Doll. Then she encounters Rhysand, a mysterious fae who always appears at Amarantha's side. He torments her, tests her, and seems just as dangerous as the mountain itself. Yet there's something in his actions that doesn't quite add up-why does he keep her secret to himself when he's supposed to deliver it to Amarantha? In a world of deceit, danger, and impossible choices, survival might mean trusting the one who seems most untrustworthy.
