What would you do without happiness? What would you do if it seemed as if no one cared? Would you wilt away like a falling flower? Would you not care? But..... What if you found some one that did care? What would you do?

I was walking through the worst part of town - and may I add, in the dark. I was almost home...so close. Before I knew what was happening, I was witnessing a murder. Horrified, I tried to get away, but it was too late. I was taken hostage by a man, let me restate that, a monster. Will I ever be free again? What happens when he isn't who I thought he was? What happens when the monster turns out to be someone I could never have guessed?

What happens when your own thoughts betray you and you have nowhere else to turn? This is my story, and I will not let this sadness be the death of me, so I'll take this pad and pen and express what's mine.

I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking.
