In an instant, Lucian slammed his fist through the wall next to Bella's head. Her knees gave out from the surprise and sheer terror that ripped through her body. She collapsed to the ground and desperately tried to keep her sobs from escaping, but all she managed to do was struggle to breathe. She clamped a shaky hand over her mouth as tears streamed down her face as she stared at the ground in submission.
"Say those words again and I will find everyone you've ever cared about and rip their hearts out right in front of you before locking you in the cellar with their dead bodies." With that said, Lucian stomped out of the room. Bella didn't have to check to know those doors were locked. She stayed there, a crumpled mess on the floor, and sobbed for all she was worth. Her mate was a monster.
