After Keith's boyfriend Shiro leaves for college in Japan, Keith is left home alone in Massachusetts, badly missing him. They facetime and text, but it isn't the same in person. It all changes when Keith meets Shiro's best friend, Lance, a troubled bad boy and a lady's man, at a frat party. They don't have much in common, but there is one thing for sure: they both suffer from mental disorders. 

Just when Keith thought his depression story was bad, Lance speaks about witnessing the death of his mother after a bipolar breakdown two years before. Accused of the murder of his own mother in the past, Lance continues to deal with pain, loss, and hallucinations of the black masked murderer who originally committed the crime.
