Elle has dreamt of seeing colour ever since she was a child, her mother drilling the beauty of it into her mind from a young age. The dream astounded her, how her soulmate, the man she was destined to be with could literally bring colour to her world with a single touch, but dreams don't always come true.

"See what?" He asked, the humour leaving his voice being replaced with concern.

In an alternate universe in which soulmates exist, Elle lives in a black and white world. The only way for her to be able to see colour is upon her first touch with her soulmate, although when Elle falls into the arms of a handsome college guy and sees a brand new world and a future with him, he doesn't share the same wishes.
