Robert Willie is a seventeen year old African American. It is the early 1900s and he lives in Chicago, Illinois where the quote "separate, but equal" carries out. Even though everybody's supposedly "equal" he feels that the black race receives less service than the white. Poor school, bus rights, and everything along those lines. Leading him to despise the white race and envy their "self centered ways" and feels disgusted when they enter his and his mom's antique shop. Franklin Dukedom is also a seventeen year old in Chicago, Illinois, but the difference is that he's white. He lives with his mother and father is a more richer side of the neighborhood and is treated with respect. Although his father despises the black race, him and his mother show remorse, but are frighten to admit it by Mr.Dukedom. He is a business man who forces business into his son and pushes him to do his best all the time. And to not get along with the black race. What will happen when these two meet? Will their opinions change? Or stay the same?
