Within my Paper Mario 64 Partner Logs, I decided to make Sushie a former pirate in her younger years mainly to spice up the dialogue between the characters. However, after writing for her more, the more I loved the concept of her being pirate and crafted a backstory for her regarding her husband who's never mentioned in the main game. I head-cannoned that his name was 'Long Fin Silver' the Cheep Cheep who was another pirate that sailed the Mushroom Kingdom Seas who fought against his arch rival 'Kelpbeard' the Blooper.
