Set in 1906...
Kyla was purposely abandoned by her Mama on the Prinzessin Victoria Luise cruise ship aged just eleven, because her Mama couldn't support their growing family. Six years on, aged eighteen, Kyla is now employed on the ship as a burlesque dancer to entertain young bachelors after dinner and her only friends are the band members who play the music she dances to.
Little does she know, a rich young man from America wants her for his wife and will stop at nothing to take her, even if it means playing dirty. And Kyla, with no life to run to outside of the ship, reluctantly agrees.
But her life becomes even more muddled as she falls for another young man onboard the Prinzessin and her new husband is consumed by rage and jealousy. Her only allies are the brotherly muscians...but this time she's on her own.
