"You don't know me. You don't what I've seen, what I've done. You don't know what I've been through!" Vera cried out in the crowded hallway.
"You've accused me of being a bitch, a slut and many other things over the past two months I've been here. Yet, you've never actually taken any interest into my life until recently. For fuck sake's, you didn't even know my name!" On the verge of tears, Vera started towards the muscular back facing her.

"Why me? What did I do to you to deserve all of the shit you've given me? All the countless days you've spent to make sure I'm miserable." Her lips began to wobble and was near to losing control over her buckling knees, which were barely helping her stand upright. "Why me, Reuben?"
The corridor was dead silent, with only the noises of his harsh and deep breathing and her shallow whimpers being heard by all present.
