Jamie-Lee Williams did just what her parents wanted: she engaged a Harvard grad, had a baby, and moved into a house in a safe neighborhood. She didn't get that good of a job, but her rich fiancée Edwin made up for it. But what happens when that stability all comes crashing down? Jamie won't be able to manage, of course, but money is not the problem. The real issue is finding out why her life was destroyed. She'll soon find out, though, that one fateful night is the reason why her world turned upside down. The only way she can turn it back is with the help of a knight in not-so-shining armor, Joey. Learning to trust him won't be easy, but one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Jaime decides she is going to wait for Gregg to get home from Greece, and she's going to make him fall in love with her. She heads into battle armed with her the support of her friends and tons of research on how to make a man fall in love. As time passes and she gets to know him, she realizes that Gregg is less like Mr. Sensitivity and more like Casanova, with his belt of many notches. Dealing with disillusionment is not the best time for another guy to enter the picture, but he does anyway. Joey, her younger brother's red-headed, glasses-wearing best friend, seems like a major pain in the backside - especially when he dethrones Jaime from her reign as Queen of Clue. Underneath his flippant attitude is a charm and wit that eventually convinces Jaime that sometimes, real love comes in the most surprising packages.
