Phoenix was just kicked out of his longtime home by his grandmother for being gay. When he goes to pack up his things, a door is now sitting where his dresser once was. Inside of that door, he finds a world like no other. Dragons soar through the sky and on top of their backs are elven warriors, but everything isn't so peaceful. A war looms over the entire world and Phoenix plays a key role in ending and starting the war.

"We caused the end of the world. Turns out it's easier than you might think it is. All you need is a group of eco anarchists and an ounce of magic, and the world goes down in a poof." After another manic episode, Phoenix gets written off his parents' will, and he's trying to find a reason to keep living. Causing the end of the world and being the only one who can save the world wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Phoenix wasn't meant to have magical abilities, and he most definitely shouldn't have been able to make all the money in the world disappear just by thinking about it. To make matters worse, it came with a minor side effect: a disease called Gold fever. In other words, people started to turn into gold. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever. After I suddenly died I possessed the body of what I thought was an extra within a novel. From then on my life was mostly calm, though not fulfilling. But I had no choice, it was too late to change my fate, so I decided to live as obediently as possible under the orders of the sadist villain. But I still had a plan. And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully. So I just cleared all the suspicions he might have about me in order to not incur his wrath and die like in the novel. * * * "I'll give you a choice." The corner of his lips raised crookedly.
