Before the impending battle with the Volturi the Cullens gain a new "member" of their family. However, Lena isn't like them or any vampire they know. In fact the only thing that she and the Cullens have in common is their mutual sustenance of blood. Other than that she might as well be an entirely different species.
Lena has always been something of a floater. Never sticking in one place for too long. She's never wanted or needed to stick around others of her kind. She didn't even want to stick around the Cullens. However she got sucked into their madness and struggles to live with it. As the battle grows nearer Lena finds herself questioning whether she can really have a life with the Cullens or if she is better off being The Vagabond.
