Lance loved talking. It was part of who he was, and his voice was his was everything.
That is, until it's taken away from him. A mission gone wrong and one Druid spell later, he is forced into silence.
Now, Lance must deal with trying to communicate with the others, and to try not to self destruct from all the loneliness and pain of not talking.
And, to find out...
Is all he is another loud mouth?

The Galra turns his chin up again. "Why do you laugh, paladin of Voltron? Can you not see the odds have fallen undoubtedly in my favor?" As Lance wiped the blood from his mouth, a weak smirk settled on his lips. "It's not so unfortunate-if this is how I die, I'm at least lucky enough to have a beauty like you in my sights, right?" • Lance McClain is losing everything. First the Blue Lion, then Red-and now, the trust of his team. He's always been willing to do what it takes to defeat Zarkon, even if it separates him from the people he cares about. Basically season 8 never happened but a LOT of Klance happened. Bonus: Allura never died. Matt still has long hair. Adam was found. Hunay, Veracxa, Romelurra and Adashi happened. Shiro is a teacher at the Garrison. Hunk owns a restaurant. Coran telling weird stories to children. Kosmo still best boy. Keith meeting Lance's family. Adashi wedding. AND EVERYONE IS HAPPY!!! The Dark Crystal
In a world, a long, long time ago, lived a crystal. The lands flourished and bloomed until the crystal cracked, the shard lost to time. There came two races with the crystal cracked, the Skeksis and the Mystics. With both races dying, only one could save them. His name was Keith, the last known living Gelfling. He was the chosen one. And he has no clue. NOTE: This takes place in the Dark Crystal universe but still has my own twists to it. I'm basing this story solely off the movie and my own imagination. A few tidbits of knowledge that would make this story make a lil more since are: -This one-shot is only based off the movie, not the comics nor the upcoming (as of 2019) show. -All of the species named here (Gelfling, Skeksis, Mystics, Podlings) are all more humanoid than what is canon in the Dark Crystal movie but you can still image them as you wish. -The Skeksis are the Galra. (The Mystics AREN'T the Alteans though.) Image the Skeksis as more Galra-like or more Skeksis-like, do what fits your imagination.
