"I am not one of your tools. You can't claim me!", he shouted at last, after all the awefull things we said to each other.
He looked up to me, up to my throne, where I was sitting. My heart skipped a beat and I could hear it shatter into million pieces as I stood up. I pushed my shoulders back, lifted my chin, folded my hands infront of me and looked him into his eyes. We were both stubborn as always and we battled with our gaze. But there was one difference .
"I can claim you.", I said, my voice ice cold and diplomatic.

"I am your queen."

In that moment I saw that I broke something inside of him beyond repair. I broke my gaze from his and looked over to the guards.

"Guards! Take Lord Antoine to his chambers. We will welcome him at court as long as I need him to.", I added and sat down again, placing my hands on each side of the throne. Looking powerfull and heartless. Reliving the past. Refreshing our memories. As they lead him out of the room I could see that he hated me.

"I love you Antoine.", I whispered to myself.

"I love you with all of my heart."

But I'd rather have him hate me than have him dead. Because as a Queen you don't get to choose who you can love.

And I am a Queen.
